Graphite Metallizing Corporation
Hall E, Booth 1237

Graphalloy bushings and case rings for pumps.

Founded in 1913, Graphite Metallizing Corporation has been pioneering graphite/metal alloy bearing solutions for extreme applications, including pumps, ever since.

Graphite Metallizing Corporation makes Graphalloy – a metal impregnated graphite material with over 100 grades depending on the application. It is used in pumps as wear parts – bushings, case rings, and wear rings. The unique properties of the Graphalloy material benefit users across a wide variety of pump services. It is non-galling and self-lubricating. It has a wide temperature range from cryogenic to 1000°F (540°C).

Graphalloy is also dimensionally stable, with a low coefficient of thermal expansion across a wide temperature range, and does not swell when submerged.

In horizontal and vertical pumps, non-galling Graphalloy does not seize or gall if run dry or with marginal lubrication.

The Graphalloy fitted pump is able to survive upsets, dry running, loss of suction, slow roll on standby and other transient conditions that would damage a conventionally fitted pump. Graphalloy enables the pump to run dry without damage to the pump and often without loss of performance or the need to replace the Graphalloy parts.

Graphalloy allows very tight clearances without risking pump seizure. Graphalloy can be designed to run at 50% of API’s recommended clearances for metallic wear part materials. Tighter clearances decrease vibration, shaft deflection, and leakage across wear rings and this can result in several percentage points of increased efficiency, leading to substantial savings in annual energy costs. The reduction in vibration levels also results in fewer seal and bearing failures and an increased MTBR.

Hydro Inc
Hall E, Booth 1137

Hydro’s field engineering division, Hydro Reliability Services, provides field testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization services to understand asset health and solve complex pump problems.

For over half a century, Hydro Inc has set the industry standard for quality and customer service in remanufactured equipment. Today, Hydro delivers engineered solutions that maximize equipment performance and minimize total life cycle costs.

At this year’s Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia, Hydro’s Dr Gary Dyson and Freddy Cardenas Linero will be presenting one of these solutions during the technical sessions. Their lecture will focus on hydraulic modifications and will demonstrate how advanced simulations allow for precise estimation of pump performance, enabling engineers to assess potential modifications without physical prototypes. The lecture will be co-presented with an oil and gas end user and detail a modification that enabled the end user to double the throughput of their terminal without the need for costly system modifications.

At its booth, Hydro Inc will be demonstrating how it supports end users in optimizing efficiency, increasing reliability, and strengthening worker proficiency.

Some areas of focus include Hydro Energy Edge, a program focused on reducing energy usage through field testing, hydraulic modifications, and system optimization; Hydro Reliability Services, Hydro’s field engineering division that supports advanced troubleshooting, including motion amplification and complex vibration analysis; and IMPEL interactive 3D maintenance procedures, which capture critical institutional knowledge and present it in a digital format more aligned with the learning style of the new generation of workers. Custom-designed drop-in pump replacements and other advanced pump modifications that support using the existing equipment footprint to better meet the current system process requirements will also be highlighted.

Regal Rexnord
Hall E, Booth 2229

A Kop-Flex high-performance disc coupling in the recertification process.

Regal Rexnord will be attending Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia 2025 in Houston, Texas. The company is dedicated to creating a better tomorrow for turbomachinery and pumps through sustainable solutions that power, transmit, and control motion.

Regal Rexnord has a wide portfolio of industry leading brands including Ameridrives, Bauer Gear Motor, Bibby Turboflex, Centa, Falk, Formsprag Clutch, Kop-Flex, Marland Clutch, Perceptiv, Rexnord, and Stieber. The company’s high-performance coupling portfolio includes Ameridrives, Ameriflex and Kop-Flex high-performance diaphragm couplings, Bibby Turboflex, Kop-Flex, and Rexnord Euroflex high-performance disc couplings, as well as Rexnord Thomas general-purpose disc couplings, all trusted for general-purpose, ANSI, API-610, and API-671 applications. In addition to couplings, Regal Rexnord’s portfolio of overrunning clutches is engineered for precision and reliability across a range of turbomachinery and power generation applications – from turbine starting to self-synchronizing, and continuous use to intermittent, the Formsprag, Marland, and Stieber family brands have decades of experience delivering trusted and proven performance.

Regal Rexnord also supports the industry through its High-Performance Coupling Recertification Service, where technicians, sales teams, and engineers collaborate to inspect, dismantle, and refurbish high-performance couplings. This service resets accumulated damage endured under severe loading conditions, restoring couplings to “likenew” condition while providing the same warranty as a new product, all at a fraction of the cost of a replacement.

Additionally, the company helps customers anticipate potential product failures before they escalate with the Kop-Flex Powerlign torque monitoring system – an integrated coupling-torque meter solution that leverages predictive technologies to minimize unexpected and costly downtime.

Stop by Booth 2229 in Hall D to see a variety of Regal Rexnord’s products on display. In particular, attendees can look forward to seeing displays of the Kop-Flex Powerlign torque monitoring system, and a coupling recertification demonstration.
