Stena Line Recognized Again for Excellence in Ferry Operations

Stena Line has once again been named Best Ferry Company at the 33rd Northern Ireland Travel & Tourism Awards, marking the company’s 32nd win and reinforcing its reputation for reliability and operational excellence—qualities that resonate with cargo and bulk transport operators worldwide.

The award recognizes Stena Line’s commitment to efficient fleet management, punctual service, and high standards of customer and cargo handling, ensuring smooth operations across its Irish Sea routes. Orla Noonan, Travel Commercial Manager (Irish Sea), commented: “Our team works tirelessly both onboard and onshore to maintain service reliability and operational efficiency. Recognition at this level underscores the importance of teamwork in delivering consistent performance.”

2025 is a milestone year for Stena Line’s operations, marking 30 years on the Dublin-Holyhead route and 30 years of port operations from Belfast Harbour, along with the launch of its newest vessel, Stena Futura, on the Belfast-Heysham service. The company’s continued investment in fleet upgrades and service reliability provides a strong model for bulk and cargo transport management, demonstrating how modern ferry operations can enhance regional trade and supply chain efficiency.

Stena Line’s operational excellence also extends to its sponsorship of the Belfast Giants, with 14 consecutive years of title sponsorship, highlighting the company’s commitment to long-term partnerships and community engagement—an approach relevant to logistics and transport stakeholders across Africa.
