Gräber Rentals Strengthens Fleet with Major Jekko Spider Crane Investment

Gräber Rentals has expanded its specialist lifting fleet with a significant order for new cranes from Jekko, including the addition of the advanced Jekko JF545.2 articulated spider crane.

The investment supports the company’s ongoing growth across Europe and North America while reinforcing its position in the compact crane and specialist lifting market.

High-Performance Spider Crane Added to Fleet

The newly acquired Jekko JF545.2 combines compact dimensions with impressive lifting performance, making it ideal for complex projects in confined and restricted-access environments.

The crane offers:

  • A maximum tip height of 32.5 metres
  • A working radius of up to 30 metres
  • Lifting capacity of 450kg at maximum reach

Its compact design allows operators to access challenging urban and indoor workspaces where conventional cranes may struggle to operate efficiently.

Hybrid Operation Enhances Flexibility

The Jekko JF545.2 features a hybrid operating system that allows it to run on both diesel power and electric power supply connections.

This provides several operational advantages, including:

  • Reduced emissions
  • Quiet operation
  • Indoor working capability
  • Improved suitability for environmentally sensitive projects

The hybrid functionality makes the crane particularly well suited for urban construction, industrial maintenance, and indoor lifting applications where noise and emission restrictions are increasingly important.

Factory Visit Strengthens Partnership

The order followed a visit by Alexander Gräber to Jekko’s manufacturing facility in Godega di Sant’Urbano, near Venice, Italy.

According to Carsten Bielefeld, factory visits allow customers to gain a deeper understanding of the engineering and manufacturing standards behind Jekko equipment while strengthening long-term partnerships.

Expanding International Operations

Founded in 1998, Gräber Rentals has grown into a major crane and aerial lift rental provider serving markets across:

  • Germany
  • Switzerland
  • Austria
  • Eastern France
  • Canada
  • United States

The company operates:

  • 12 depots across Germany
  • A branch in Sausheim, France
  • A location in Texas, USA

Its fleet now includes approximately 2,000 rental machines, ranging from boom lifts and scissor lifts to spider lifts, telehandlers, and specialist lifting equipment.

Demand Rising for Compact Lifting Solutions

The latest investment reflects growing global demand for compact cranes capable of operating in congested construction environments and specialist lifting applications.

Spider cranes are increasingly being used for:

  • Glass installation
  • Steel erection
  • Urban construction
  • Industrial maintenance
  • Indoor lifting projects
  • Restricted-access operations

Their versatility, compact footprint, and advanced lifting capabilities continue to make them valuable solutions for modern construction and infrastructure projects.
