PEGASUS AIRLINES LAUNCHES TWO NEW DIRECT TURKISH ROUTES FROM LONDON STANSTED

LONDON – Pegasus Airlines continues to expand its route network this summer by adding direct flights from the UK to two new Turkish destinations – Gaziantep and Kayseri.

On 21 June, a new direct route between London Stansted and Gaziantep was launched, offering a seamless link to Türkiye’s vibrant southern city, celebrated as the nation’s culinary capital. The once-weekly service departs from London every Saturday at 20:40, with return flights from Gaziantep operating on Sundays at 04:20.

Sure to tempt food lovers, Gaziantep’s rich food culture includes delicacies such as the world-famous pistachio baklava and tender kebabs, which helped earn its UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy status. There are also bazaars selling fragrant herbs and spices, the world’s largest mosaic museum and a 12-towered hilltop castle that presides over it all.

On 25 June, a new route connecting London Stansted to Kayseri Airport was launched, offering direct access from the UK capital to the airport serving Cappadocia, renowned for its fairy-tale landscapes. The once-weekly service departs London every Wednesday at 20:40, with return flights from Kayseri operating on Thursdays at 04:30.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site in Central Anatolia includes underground churches carved into the soft pink rock, part of the Göreme Open-Air Museum, and one of the first two UNESCO sites in Türkiye. The alluring area is best admired by hot air balloon, with sunrise trips floating across the sky at dawn. From 7-10 August this year, the Cappadocia Hot Air Balloon Festival sees hundreds of colourful balloons ranging from the traditional to cartoon characters take flight at sunrise.

To celebrate the launch, Pegasus Airlines is giving away a pair of return flights from London Stansted to Kayseri Erkilet Airport. For a chance to win, head to London Stansted Airport’s social media channels to enter before 01 July 2025.

Pegasus flights from London Stansted start from just £54 to Gaziantep and £84 to Kayseri one-way, including taxes. Book via flypgs.com or the Pegasus mobile app for the lowest fares.
