ECS Subsidiary AVS Appointed GSA for DHL Aviation in Malaysia

ECS Group’s subsidiary, AVS GSA Services, has been appointed as the new General Sales Agent (GSA) for DHL Aviation in Malaysia, managing the airline’s scheduled freighter operations from the country.

From Kuala Lumpur, DHL Aviation operates flights to Singapore and Hong Kong, while Penang handles services to Hong Kong, with additional capacity through Road Feeder Services (RFS) via Singapore. From Singapore, DHL offers onward connections to key export markets across China, Japan, Thailand, India, Korea, Australia, the US, Europe, and the Middle East. The fleet includes Airbus A320 and Boeing 767 dedicated freighters serving the Asia Pacific region.

Jean Ceccaldi, CEO of ECS Group, highlighted Malaysia’s strategic importance: “DHL Aviation’s Malaysian business has seen rapid growth over the past two years, driven by the country’s emergence as a major manufacturing and transhipment hub within DHL’s intra-Asia network. AVS GSA’s commercial expertise will enhance service efficiency, ensuring optimum load factors on flights and feeder services out of Malaysia’s two main cargo hubs.”

Malaysia’s top exports include complex electrical and electronic products such as semiconductors, sensors, and printed circuit components, alongside medical, pharmaceutical, and e-commerce shipments.

AVS GSA Managing Director Yussof Amiroel added: “By combining local experience with advanced digital commercial software, our team will deliver outstanding sales performance and exceptional customer service, particularly for high-value export shipments from Malaysia.”
